Joanna Liew was part of the pioneer batch of graduates of the exclusive joint double-degree programme offered by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, China. During her university years, she had co-authored a highly regarded research focusing on the metabolomics analysis of major metabolites in medicinal herbs. Joanna Liew completed her clinical internship in an integrated Western and Chinese Hospital in Beijing before returning to Singapore and registered as a Traditional Chinese Medicine (“TCM”) physician with the Singapore TCM Practitioner’s Board. Joanna Liew actively participates as a speaker in various TCM health talks organised by public health care institutions, such as National Heart Centre, National Cancer Centre and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In addition, she has hosted many TCM workshops for private organisations, including Temasek Holdings, Gemalto and Infineum. Joanna firmly believes in sharing her knowledge through continuous public education, specifically on the benefits of integrating nutrition, health, wellness and TCM with Western medicine towards achieving good health and vitality. She also writes regularly on TCM related topics in local newspapers, health and lifestyle magazines.
